While driving to Pinzolo in northern Italy, after having climbed the Brenta dolomites using via ferrata’s, heavy afternoon rain showers flooded the road. We were doubting if we could even do the hike to a tiny lake in the Presanella Mountain range. But the closer we got to the starting point of the hike, the more it cleared out. While packing our backpacks at the parking lot of Rifugio Cornisello, it started to drizzle. During the hike, clouds where swirling around us with serious rainfall left and right from us. Luckily, we were on the right spot and stayed dry apart from some drizzle.
Once we reached this tiny lake, the atmosphere calmed down. The wind dropped, the lake turned into a mirror, offering a superb view to the Brenta Dolomites just opposite of the valley, with the rainclouds moving away. Perfect timing for a late afternoon mountain meditation moment.
